Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA)

Who We Are

CAMBA is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, managing, and protecting one of the most unique mountain bike trail systems in the Midwest. We're a down-to-earth, no-nonsense group of trail enthusiasts, volunteers, and community members united by a simple mission: to create exceptional riding experiences while preserving the natural landscapes that make them possible.

Why CAMBA Matters

CAMBA exists because great trails don't happen by accident — they require dedicated stewardship, community investment, and a deep respect for the land. Through volunteer-driven trail building, ongoing maintenance, and partnerships with local forests, CAMBA has transformed nearly a million acres of Northern Wisconsin woodland into a world-class riding destination. Beyond the trails themselves, CAMBA supports the local economy, fosters a welcoming outdoor community, and ensures these natural spaces remain accessible and protected for generations of riders to come.

The Trail System

With more than 135 miles of singletrack, 70 miles of groomed winter trails, and 200+ miles of mapped gravel routes, CAMBA offers riding to fit every need. Extending through Bayfield and Sawyer Counties — including sections of the Bayfield and Sawyer County Forests and the renowned Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest — our trail system satisfies the body as well as the soul. We can't wait for you to get out there and discover it for yourself.
