National & County Forests
CAMBA is fortunate to have a fantastic public land base for our trails. This generous access is our biggest asset—without it, we wouldn't have trails! With over a million acres to work with, we've built great relationships with agencies like the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Bayfield County Forest, and Sawyer County Forest. A big thank you to the private landowners who kindly allow us to cross their property. Your support makes it all possible!
Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is a special place in the northern woodlands of Wisconsin that affords a genuine opportunity to enjoy the wild and scenic wonders of its diverse landscapes. Characterized by gently rolling terrain, this sparsely populated rural region offers a unique opportunity to “get away from it all.” Its tradition of low visitor use invites a feeling of seclusion; a place to escape from the congested metropolitan cities of the Midwest to rest, reflect, and revive weary spirits. The Chequamegon leaves an impression of tranquility and inner peace.
