Giving Tuesday is Here
On Giving and Giving Thanks
‘Tis the season of giving , and of giving thanks. The recently passed Thanksgiving holiday provides us with a focal point for reflection and assessing those things for which we feel gratitude and want to offer thanks.
And of course there are many things out there – in the grand scheme of things – that carry a far higher level of significance than mountain bike trails, but we hope you will take a brief moment to look back at the summer dirt riding season and reflect on the fun, great outdoor exercise, friendship and camaraderie, and simple enjoyment of being on your bike traversing the seemingly endless trails of the Chequamegon Area.
From CAMBA’s perspective, it’s much more than building and maintaining trails – digging the dirt so we can add another line on a map or tout more miles of singletrack. It really is about creating an experience that riders of all stripes can enjoy and to contribute to the greater mountain biking community. The word “community” is much bandied about and means different things to different people, but CAMBA considers all of our members, riders, volunteers, sponsors, donors and anyone even tangentially connected to the trails as our “community.” We not only strive to develop and maintain trails, we seek to build community and provide for that community.
We greatly appreciate the accolades that we regularly receive throughout the year. But as we approach the end of the 2019 season, we hope you will consider expressing your appreciation for the CAMBA experience by making a generous contribution to our year-end fund raising campaign. You may do so by visiting our GoFundMe campaign on Giving Tuesday (or any time).
Thank you for your support and for being a part of our community.
