Get Well John
CAMBA President and long-time member and intrepid volunteer, John Saunders, recently underwent successful open-heart surgery. He has made steady progress in his recovery and rehabilitation. If all continues to go as expected he will be making an appearance at the upcoming Minneapolis Bicycle Expo, March 3-4. If you like to offer John a word of encouragement and good wishes, you may do so at 5640 North Ham Holly Road, Stone Lake, WI 54876. The whole CAMBA crew wishes John the best and a speedy recovery.

CAMBA on the Tube
Last fall, several CAMBA volunteers joined Discover Wisconsin host Stephanie Klett and Producer Steve Jandacekfor a day of filming on the Rock Lake Trail - Hildebrand Loop. The majority of the day's footage will be featured in a program on Wisconsin "extreme sports." This program is expected to air sometime early summer. When we get the actual airdate, we will let everyone know.

Another Discover Wisconsin program in which the CAMBA trails are featured to a lesser degree, is coming up shortly. This episode will feature the Hayward Lakes area and will air on March 3 and 4. Check your local listings for times and stations.

For those of you in the Hayward area, the Hayward Lakes Visitors and Convention Bureau is hosting a sneak peak on Thursday, March 1 at The Landing on County Road CC from 4:00-6:00PM.

Forest Service Seeks Comments on Travel Management Rule
The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is requesting public input on its Travel Management Rule, which essentially covers all motorized travel on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. More information can be found at www.fs.fed.us/r9/cnnf/rec/tmr/index.html. In a nutshell, the rule will determine which forest roads and trails can be used for motorized uses. To offer comments, go to www.fs.fed.us/r9/cnnf/rec/tmr/Public_comment_form%20010107.pdf Comments must be submitted by March 31, 2007.
