Fall Chainsaw Training

The Forest Service is shifting its annual chainsaw safety training to the fall and will hold a training and certification class on Saturday, October 7 that will lead to A Apprentice Sawyer certification with the U.S. Forest Service. Makwa Boardwalk Back in Action

The Gravel Pit boardwalk is back in business thanks to the yeoman efforts of Darren Winchester. Darren has raised the bridge several times over the past year or so. His most recent effort included bolting all segments together so they don’t wander. Next up: replacing all of the decking. Sounds like a great volunteer project.
